#interpack 2020 – the start of a new age

Integrated systems and sustained optimisation in the spotlight

(Altendorf/Lahnau, 31.01.2020) From 7 to 13 May, the major players in the packaging industry will come together at interpack, the world’s leading industry trade fair in Düsseldorf. Packaging machine manufacturers LoeschPack and Hastamat will be showing off their latest innovations at the fair. They will be underscoring the wide range of new additions to their ranges with a series of events and a new booth concept – at booth C22 in hall 14 for the first time. LoeschPack is also celebrating the end of its centenary anniversary year.

The two affiliated companies use interpack as a platform at which to present new machinery, innovative technologies, and sustainable solutions. “Loesch and Hastamat have one clear aim – to help our customers pack their products faster, more sustainably, and more efficiently. We always optimise our systems with this in mind”, says Olaf Piepenbrock, Managing Partner at both companies. Visitors to the trade fair will be able to take a look at a wide range of lines and machines at a new location in hall 14, booth C22. Loesch will be presenting several integrated packaging lines for chocolate, chewing gum, and cereal bars, with packaging options covering everything from primary packaging to the sales tray. The spotlight is on new pack styles and the integration of new, more sustainable and recyclable packaging materials. Hastamat will also be showcasing a representative selection of its products: weighers and packaging machines for high-speed stick loading and variable biscuit packing in flow packs. The latest hygienic design lines and systems for stacked crisps from Hastamat will also be on show at interpack.

Sustainability in focus

The two global players’ packaging systems are good examples of how the industry’s machinery is increasingly responding to sustainability requirements. “Our packaging lines offer more and more performance while steadily reducing their footprint at our customers’ production facilities”, says Olaf Piepenbrock. Smart ideas in the machine control system simplify operation. At the same time, energy efficiency increases and product and packaging material waste is reduced. Loesch and Hastamat have also worked to minimise the use of compressed air. With such efficient machines, these innovative companies are excellently positioned to remain true to their principle of “Packaging your ideas” for an international audience.
