19.03.2025, Lahnau

Weighing, transferring and flexibly packaging products
At IFFA in Frankfurt, it's all about the future of food production. From 3rd until 5th May, Hastamat will be presenting its efficient and sustainable packaging solutions at the leading international trade fair – in hall 12.0 on stand C10.
On the trade fair stand, Hastamat will be showing the specialist audience the advantages of the CP-16-S32 multi-head stick weigher with hygienic design in conjunction with a product transfer system and the RM-270 vertical form, fill and seal machine with hygienic design. "Whether it's for fresh or frozen foods or powders: The automated packaging solutions from Hastamat are engineered for a wide range of products, from the infeed to the tray. That way, the packaging machine manufacturer can meet the individual demands of the customers: even beyond the food industry", says Olaf Piepenbrock, Executive Partner of Hastamat, LoeschPack and the parent company Piepenbrock.
Oriented dosing of salami sticks and other stick-shaped foods

The CP-16-S32 multi-head stick with hygienic design counts and weight stick-shaped, fresh and frozen foods. It has been specifically developed for operation in wet areas, and meets the requirements of the food industry. The weigher fills different types of packaging with product both gently and precisely to the exact piece – with an output of up to 220 weighing procedures per minute. With a retool, the packaging system can also process bulk goods. At IFFA, Hastamat will be showing the multi-head weigher with a product transfer station. Once the sticks have been weighed, the servo-controlled transfer system forwards them gently in the packaging process. "Out transfer systems are flexible when it comes to the product and packaging material. Users can combine them with both vertical form, fill and seal machines, thermoform and tray sealing machines. The format change can be performed without tools", says Thomas Bornemann, Director of Sales and Marketing at Hastamat.
Filling tubular bags in accordance with the customer's wishes
At IFFA, Hastamat will be showing the all-rounder amongst the vertical form, fill and seal machines, with the RM-270. The machine from the R/RM series packages a number of products – including food and sticks. At the trade fair, the company will be showing packaging in 4-cornered sealed bags. Thanks to its modular stainless steel design, the machine meets the specific demands of the food industry. If required, water and dust protection can be included in the hygienic design. The vertical form, fill and seal machine is also flexible when it comes to packaging styles, as Bornemann knows: "The RM-270 packages up to 250 bags per minute in all format ranges. In the process, it caters for all bag shapes, including recyclable wrapping material. Different dosers and special applications can also be integrated flexibly."
